- Betar has sent 120 letters to children in Sderot. Kol Hakavod to everyone who participated in this project.
-The Betar/ZOA photo exhibit was at Green Road Synagogue for Pesach. If you still haven't seen it, make sure you check it out. It is very powerful! Its next location T.B.A.
-We are still collecting money to help repair bomb shelters in Sderot. Checks can be sent to Betar (2121 S. Green Rd. South Euclid, OH 44121) and should be made payable to "Sderot Media Center." In the memo line write-"Shelter renovation project."
So far, over $2,000 have been collected!!!
There was a letter/petition (written by a Betariyah- M.R.) circulating for high school students to sign that expresses concern over the recent rise in anti-Semitism and anti-Israel rhetoric at CWRU and basically says that we are hesitant to apply to CWRU unless the university takes steps to resolve the situation.
The letter was handed in last week with 75 signatures, and our sources tell us that it is having a BIG effect ! Kol Hakavod! The text of the letter will be posted soon...
Betar is hosting an exclusive leadership shabbaton in upstate NY. The Shabbaton is geared towards those people who want to develop leadership skills and take on an active role in Betar for Israel. SCLS will be held May 30- June 1. The cost is $80. We will march in the Salute to Israel Day Parade on June 1st!!!
